¡Ü Automotive Wire

The electrical wires used for automobile¡¯s engine, electric control unit (ECU), control circuit wire, steering system, doors, roof, air-bags, transmission, etc. They are collectively called ¡°automotive wire.¡± Conductors are made of over 99.9%-pure copper wire rods for electrical purposes which are processed into bare or tinned annealed copper wires, and their structures and materials are selected according to the product quality requested. Super fine wire, halogen-free wire, and flat cable are also being developed and improved continuously to keep pace with the advancing automobile technology.

¡Ø PVC Insulated Wire (80C or 176F)

PVC insulated wire is the most used kind among automotive wires; it is made by covering a conductor with polyvinylchloride i.e. PVC. Generally, PVC¡¯s ratio is between 1.31 and 1.45 and it softens at around 65C~85C (149F~185F). Some PVC disintegrates at 120C~180C (248F~356F) generating HCL gas. PVC can be reinforced by adding other substances as needed for better heat resistance—up to operating temperature of 80~100 (176F~212F).

¡Ø PE Insulated Wire (100C~120C or 212F~248F)

PE insulated wire is made by first covering a conductor with polyethylene i.e. PE. Then its wire-type structure molecules are converted into three dimension network system molecules by treating it with accelerated corpuscular beam generated by high-voltage quantum or magnetic field changes. Both the milky white color and the semitransparent polyethylene are nonpoisonous and highly water, chemical, and heat resistant. It can be further reinforced by adding other substances suitable for its intended purpose.

¡Ø Teflon Insulated Wire (150C~260C or 302F~500F)

Teflon insulated wire uses fluorine resin as its insulator. Fluorine resin is heat and chemical resistant, non-adhesive, and has outstanding electrical characteristic, so Teflon insulated wire is heat and burn resistant. It can be designed to have minimum operating temperature of -150C (-238F) and maximum operating temperature of 105C~260C (221F~500F). Teflon¡¯s chemical resistance makes it a great transmission wire.
